Viber is now one of the most popular iPhone application for making free calls. We have already blogged about the Viber support for Computer (Viber for PC) and according to Viber support team its coming soon. But a good number of people are facing the problem that Viber Continue button is not working for them : Viber problem on iPhone itself.
One of my friend was also having a similar issue, when trying to setup Viber. After entering the phone number, and clicking the 'continue' button nothing happens. Basically Continue button doesn't seem to work : its just not click able.
On some basic research the problem seems to be localized to unlocked iPhones (jailbroken iPhone). Finally we found a solution for this problem (credits to Viber Support forum).
- So if you are also facing this problem try these simple steps, these should fix this viber continue problem.
- Remove viber (delete it)
- Turn off notifications in settings
- Install push doctor through cydia. Check here.
- Download it and install
- Reset iphone (turn it off wait mintutes and turn it back on)
- Turn on notifications from settings
- Go to app store get viber and wait for it to finish
- Open viber and it should work
Trust me Viber is one great application.

ReplyDeleteBut, since I was not able to install Push Doctor, I installed Push Fix (from iPhoneModding - http://apt.iphonemodding.com/)
After doing this, YouTube is also connecting for me. Thanks!

I guess this fix is working for OS 3.1.1/3.1.2 etc and not for 4.1 and higher. Need to figure out another fix for the same.

Im probably stupid, Im actually really bad at this iphone stuff, but when I looked for Push doctor in cydia like i was told to i couldnt find it... Problem still exists (the viber problem)

I cannot install Pushfix-(Cydia writes that OS 4.0 requires) and Push doctor- Sub-process/usr/bin/dbkg returned an error code(1) and subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1.
And due to that push is not working

ReplyDeleteI've one solution!!!! Change your DNS on settings in WI-FI to thé google's DNS: "8.8.8.8" !!! It's working for me :D try

ReplyDeleteI have a 3G 4.0.2 jailbroken ultrasn0w experiencing the same issue. It was solved after instaled push doctor. Now the viber and you tube is working fine.

Huh, After I installed Push Doctor to my 3G 3.1.2 the Notifications menu in setting completely disappear and I cannot switch the notifications ON now.

False Alarm... after restarting the phone couple of times the notifications appear in the setting... Viber works now, YouTube works :) and somehow WhatsApp works better as well.
ReplyDeleteAnd just for these that are wondering how to make the 3G apps working in the background... just install the Backgrounder from Cydia... works like a charm.

(show subject field is on )
then make sure the notification is on
after that go to viber app and select your country and add your number and continue every thing .. good luck
i have a jailbroken iphone 4 and the firmware is 4.3.3 , i have problem with viber , when i tap on its icon the screen goes black with status bar and multitasking and app switch does not work ! before i was using app without any issues ! when i installed new version (2.0.1 and 2.0.4) the problem continues ! i deleted app many times and reboot my phone and installed it again but the problem didn't solve ! when someone calls me or send an sms it shows on screen but cannot answer call or view sms in app ! please help me , thanks !
