Continuing with series of cheap and free international voip phone calls, we will today discuss about Fizzcall. Thanks to Bharat Bhuta for letting us know about Fizzcall. In the past also, we have discussed about such services offering calls at a fixed price. Actually in these services you can talk for as long as you like for a fixed price during a single call.

Fizzcall Ltd is a private limited company based in Reading, UK. They were formed in 2008 only. They have succeeded in their goal to provide a simple international calling service, allowing a user to call from any phone or country for a single fixed price.

Fizzcall provides calls to mobiles phones and standard land lines around the world for a fixed price per call. Calls can be made to almost all destinations (India included in the list). However there are a few restrictions. I guess these services prove to be very cheap for those destinations where call rates are high viz. Pakistan, Dubai.

Some points to be noted -:

• At 25p per call : for up to 60 minutes.
• It doesn't matter where you are calling from or to, call price is always the same.
• Simply tell them your number and who you want to call and they will connect you both.
• Payments are taken via Google Checkout.
• There are no hidden fees, no connection charge, and no cost per minute. (Mentioned on their website).
  

Three Call packages are available with Fizzcall:

Package1 (£1.50) : 5 calls
Package2 (£2.80) : 10 calls
Package3 (£5.00) : 20 calls

The only problem with these kinds of service is that either the voice quality is bad or the call gets terminated after sometime. I hope this does not happen with Fizzcall.

I think Fizzcall is atleast worth a try. There is lot of scope for money to be saved.

They also claim that you can send unlimited FREE Voice Messages anywhere from your phone. The procedure to make calls is quite similar to that of Rebtel.

1. Login and enter the international numbers where you frequently call.
2. They give you a free permanent local number for every international number.
3. Store these local numbers in your phone book and call them directly to automatically connect to the corresponding international numbers.
   

Say your Mom's cell in India is +91-9866554422, and we give you 408-220-9315 as a permanent local number for it. Now to call Mom, you just have to dial 408-220-9315 from your phone and your Mom's cell will ring!

Rebtel has tremendous voice quality, I am not sure whether they can match it. In call rates field too, Rebtel has an edge. Atleast, you can make use of free 10 minutes.

You can offcourse register with different numbers to get additional minutes. This way your free minutes can be increased.

I was wondering if there is any way you can register with the same number more than once. May be, by deleting your old account and registering for new one with same number. This was it can prove to be a great free calling method from USA to India.

Cheap Calls to India : Voip in India

Finally Voip is legal in India. Many voip providers have either lowered their rates to India or in process to lower their call rates to India. Many voip providers see the potential in India voip market and are launching their services in India.

With such steps I am sure the day is not far when calls to India will be at 1-2 cents or even unlimited free calls will be possible in India. Though I am not a supporter of Betamax services, still large number of people use them and have found it to be very cheap.

Freecalls, a betamax service has lowered its calling rate to India. Using Freecalls, calls to India can be made at 2.2cents(USD). PC to Phone calls/Phone to Phone calls can be made using Freecalls. SIP calls can also made.

Webcalldirect has also lowered their rates to India. They are now offering calls to India landlines at 3cents(USD)/minute. A few people have been asking me about sending free sms to India. Just to let them know, these betamax services can also be used to send sms to India.
