Many of our readers has been asking us " How to Make Free VOIP Phone Calls to Pakistan ". I have finally found a answer to them. A betamax program named lowratevoip is providing Free VOIP Phone Calls to Pakistan. Mobile service in Pakistan is included.
Now it is possible to call Pakistan for free from any part of the world. Even you can call from Pakistan to Pakistan. Lowratevoip has both web initiated that is Phone to phone calls as well as Free Pc to Phone Calls. Offcourse you can make Free calls to other countries using this voip service. Since there are not many free voip providers for Pakistan so I am concentrating my post on Pakistan.
Now here is the procedure to make Free Phone Calls.
For making Phone to Phone Calls. These include making calls from Pakistan to Pakistan, USA to Pakistan, USA to USA, Canada to Pakistan,USA, Europe to Pakistan etc. Making Calls from India to Pakistan is not possible via phone to phone method. Use pc to phone method for calling Pakistan from India. Read a few lines below for that.

Visit lowratevoip. Check for Test or Make a Free trial call option on right middle side of Page.

Pc to Phone Calls
For Making PC to Phone Calls. That is to made Calls from India to Pakistan etc.
Download the softphone or Dailer from here.
The first time you start the lowrate voip, you will be asked to choose a User Name and password. The User Name and password fields are required in order to use the lowrate voip. You can choose any name but it must be at least 6 characters in length. If the name is already in use by someone else you will have to try another name.
For a call to any regular phone, enter the desired number in the textbox and click the dial-button. If you are calling a land line in one of the free destinations this include Pakistan,USA,Europe, etc the call will be placed at no costs at all.
They give 200 minutes of Free Calls per unique IP address. I would suggest you to use Proxy server to get more free minutes.

try using a proxy..!! and then register..i hope it will work. if you are using broadband, try switching off and on your router..you get a new ip address..

If you use broadband of sify etc, switch off and on your router, then register for an account. This way you get different ip address and more free credit.

dude.......lowratevoip is not working...i have created account at my friend pc.when i tried calling pakistan it gives reply u have reached the maximum number of trial calls but that was my first call???????plz help me out.........ujjwal

Well it is quite strange that you were not able to call using the account registered from your friend computer. I hope he is not sharing same ip address as yours. Or it may be possible that he has already registered and made free calls using his IP. You may try calling from your friends PC only.
You may try ohter services too for calling Pakistan. You may register with Tpad(get 2$), try jaxtr for calling Pakistan. Read the post on these services.

I guess the procedure is explained completely in the post. You can make either calls from Phone to Phone(directly from their website) or using their softphone(pc to phone calls).
You wont be charged anything in either case. absolutely free..!!
You can call using your china mobile. On the main page, enter your phone number, then destination number. Your call will be connected. Just go for it..its free..!

Well if you check lowratevoip website, Pakistan is still included in free destination. And I know few people who have made free calls to pakistan recently using lowratevoip.
Regarding other services, I have written many post on free voip calls to india and Pakistan. Just to remind, my post on 2$ free tpad credit, Free calling cards, recent one being on 3$ credit by voiceglobe, free calls by geophonia to Pakistan, pfingo. The list goes on...
@innocent, if you are living in a country (china) marked in free destination list, you can directly call from there website. No need to use softphone.
If you have downloaded the software, then probably, you should be able to call Pakistan. However they allow
5minutes/per IP address.
If you have used that up, try using a proxy. Get a proxy address from samair.ru
enter these details in internet explorer < tools < internet options < connections < lan settings.
enable bypass proxy server for local address.
Open lowratevoip in internet explorere only, then dail directly from there website. Hope this works..

Get a proxy address from samair.rufor that go to www.samair.ru then get a address similar to like 192.168.1.1 fill this in internet explorer
prefer one for 8080 port address..

May be lowratevoip has disabled its free calling service to Pakistan. But dont wory we have many other ways to call pakistan free.

I guess you will be able to call from a landline number to mobile in order to make free calls using mobivox.
And to call Pakistan from china, use tpad 2.5$. See the link in previous comment (above).

Actually lowratevoip has removed Pakistan from free call destination. That is the reason it asks for credit. You may read my other posts and methods viz. about Tpad to make calls to Pakistan.

For calls from USA to Pakistan and India, best sound quality from calling card is of stana card and it is as low as 4 cents per min. with no extra cost even with new PTA taxes.
